In 2012, they increased financial aid by $200 million dollars, ensuring that any student who wanted to attend would be able to. While Harvard is famous for its prestigious law and business schools, it also boasts an incredible arts school. There are also plenty of opportunities for students outside of academia; 37% of undergraduates participate in athletics and 40% work or volunteer on campus. If you can get into Harvard, then you’ll have no trouble at all finding an awesome job after graduation – 98% of undergraduate alumni find employment within just six months! Caltech takes first place on our list of best universities for scholarship, and with good reason. Students are offered up to $43,600 annually in scholarship money and Caltech doesn’t charge tuition at all (though students do have to cover room and board). The university also boasts a generous need-based financial aid program. All that support comes with an interesting caveat: applicants must be enrolled full-time in order to qualify for need-based financial aid. But it seems that Caltech has decided it is better to provide cost coverage to as many students as possible than it is offer exclusive scholarships only to those who qualify under merit.
